Sri Petaling Center has been in existence since year 2008. Ever since Mr. Freddie Chin became an AOL student of Teacher Ee Mei in April 2007, he has been determined to share the benefit of the course with all of his friends. Thus, the first course organized by him and his wife, Angie Ng (who had learned AOL under Teacher Peak Wan several years earlier in Serdang) was conducted in June 2007 in a primary school (SJKC Yoke Nam). Subsequently, several courses were organized and conducted in their office in Bukit Serdang. Weekly Follow Up was also held at the same venue. The Follow Up was then later shifted to Tan Ann Kee’s residence in Sri Petaling for the convenience of members.
With the increase in numbers, there was a need for a permanent place for conducting regular activities. In April 2008, at Bali, Mr. Freddie Chin and Mr. Ng See Eng got the blessing from Guruji to set up Sri Petaling Center. With Guru’s Grace, the current center was founded and officially formed in 3rd August 2008 and the first course was organized and conducted in the center with 49 participants. The first trip to the Ashram in India was organized to visit and pay respect to our beloved Guruji in August 2008. First AGM of the center was held in 10 October 2008 to welcome more participation of volunteers.
AOL Sri Petaling is now one of the most active centers in the Central Malaysia
Part I courses are conducted monthly. There is group kriya follow up every Monday night and Sunday morning due to the good participation of members. Art Excel is conducted twice a year during the school holidays. Satsang is conducted every Thursday. There has been knowledge sharing sessions (Bakti Sutra, Patanjali Yoga and Ashtavakra Gita) conducted by Tan Ann Kee (Ann) who became a Part I and Art Excel teacher in April 2009.
Currently, about one thousand members have benefited from various courses conducted such as Part 1, Part II, Sahaj Samadhi, Sri Sri Yoga and Art Excel. Sri Petaling Center has organized the biggest Part I course with 108 participants, three Blood Donation Campaigns, Fund Rising Project with total collection of RM54,150.00 for home for the disabled and orphanage home. There was also fund raising for the Earth Quake victims in China. Members are also very supportive and participate in activities organized by other centers.
With the spirit of Sangachhatwam and belongingness, we hope to grow even bigger and better and to continue to contribute to the wellbeing of all the people in the area and in Malaysia.
